Welcome to Dublin's Cultural Corner

Since 2003 we have single-mindedly worked to provide a platform, a forum and most importantly a voice for the business, cultural and voluntary sectors who make up the ‘city within a city’ that is Temple Bar. The Temple Bar Company is much more than a business association, we give voice to Dublin’s most talkative district!

We exist to promote the many and varied delights of Dublin’s irrepressible Cultural Quarter. Our brief is to put the area’s best face forward and we do it by ensuring that Temple Bar is kept clean and that the atmosphere is always safe, fun and accessible for all who live, work and visit the area. We work to encourage the arts, trade and commerce to thrive and to maintain this unique district as Ireland’s most vibrant entertainment, business and cultural hub.

Marketing: We maintain this very site and manage all @lovetemplebar social media accounts. The Temple Bar Company also runs the thriving Summer Night Markets in addition to programming and producing TradFest and Festival of Politics. These enormously popular events bring thousands of visitors to the area. Oh, and our Guide to Temple Bar.

Cleaning: In 2017 our cleaning teams worked 18 hours per day over 363 days, that’s 6,644 hours of care- we like to make a good impression!

Festivals: With a domestic and international audience approaching 25,000 every January, TradFest is the biggest traditional and folk festival in the country. It is also the most progressive. Festival of Politics launched last year to tremendous acclaim. In these highly politicised times it is set to grow and grow. Find out more at What's On.

Public Art:  We teamed up with DCC to develop the Love The Lanes project aimed at revitalising some of Temple Bar’s overlooked corners. A broad spectrum of artists were invited to illustrate the walls to create public canvasses, with lighting and decorative ‘sails’ futher enhancing the spectacle. The transformation enabled us to run a family fun day at Crampton Court last year. Find out more at What's On.

Markets: The Temple Bar Summer market is, uniquely, Dublin’s only outdoor evening market. With 25 weekly markets, including our festive Christmas markets, they showcase an interesting selection of craft and design. Find out more at What's On.

Safety: Temple Bar should be a safe space for all to enjoy and by that token we engage in bi-monthly meetings with the Garda Commissioner. Our lobbying has successfully led to an increased police presence in the area.
